THCA was founded in 1973 and incorporated as nonprofit about 1975. The newsletter was published monthly in early years, then quarterly, and now three times yearly. The Steering Committee is organized around people who have a task, and it works collectively (the coordinator, secretary, and treasurer names are filed with the State).
